April? Already??

Man time flies when you're having fun :) This year is really going by so fast, I'm scared to blink! Next week Saylor will be 4 months old, I can't believe it

She has developed an interest in her toys now. And everything is going straight to her mouth :)

This week has been pretty mellow. I worked on Monday night, so Saylor got to spend some quality alone time with her dad. He said she was so sweet and funny, just "talking" all night. But boy was she a pill the next day, ha! Poor baby missed her daddy. I did take her with me to get a couple of haircuts this week (which I will not talk about. somethings, like hair cuts, you should not go the cheapest way :) hair grows back fast, right?!) But both times, all the ladies just oohed and ahhed over her, who wouldn't though!

btw, i totally made her bow. in like 2 min. while talking on the phone. i was so proud of myself :)

And now, we are just ready for Easter. I cannot wait to put her Easter dress on her and take pics! We are doing a little "photo shoot" Saturday, just so I can be sure to have pics of her in her beautiful little dress. She will not have an Easter bonnet though, her daddy is no fun sometimes, haha!

blah!

Ok, mommies should be exempt from getting sick! Especially if they are breastfeeding, bc the medicine options are zero :( Ugh, seriously I've felt like poo today, and Saylor couldn't care less, ha! She has been such a little smiley, talking, playful thing today, almost took my mind off this awful cold!
Lately I have been struggling with the whole breastfeeding situation. My "goal" has been to nurse until Saylor is 6 months old, but I keep going back and forth ( mommy guilt is an awful thing!) on that decision. I love the bonding, the nutritional value, of course I love that its free, and I really love the convenience of middle-of-the-night feedings, but I feel like our sleeping is regressing and I feel like a bottle might help us get more sleep! I just feel so guilty since I stay home with her, that formula is an unnecessary expense.
And I had to share another one of Saylor's thoughts...

Saylor's thoughts

This is what my husband does with pics I send him of Saylor while he is at work...

(this is the outfit he dressed her in btw!!)

Yesterday I worked a golf tourney, so again, her daddy was responsible for dressing her and this is what I came home to...

ha, poor kid :)

What a difference a year makes...

Yesterday was a tough mommy day. My sweet little girl does not like to sleep. Somedays, she puts up more of a fight than others, and that was yesterday! Anyway, she finally went to sleep (2 hours later!! Johnson's bedtime bath can bite me, ha!) and I laughed at how differently I was celebrating St. Patrick's Day, no Irish car bombs or green beer for me! I haven't had a drink in almost a year, and that is fine by me. It's funny because now when I have a trying day I crave the treadmill and my earphones, not a glass of wine or a beer, haha. At this point I'm just not comfortable having a drink, chocolate on the other hand is another story ;)

This was as festive as we got yesterday. Saylor rocked the lime green and pink, instead of traditional St. Patty's green :) But now I need to pick out a diff dress for her to wear to Steeplechase on Saturday!

ps. Saylor has been asleep for the past 2 hours, and even took a 1 hour nap this morning- guess she wore her little self out yesterday!

Guess What?!

Saylor rolled over today! I didn't catch it on video, but you better believe I'm gonna keep the video camera at hand at all times now! I did manage to snap a few pics on my iPhone.
Here she is just hanging out...

...and, yay,she made it to her side...

...and TADA!!

Hopefully, video to come soon! (if I didn't scare her too much from all my excitement!)

I love Mondays!

Mondays are welcomed in this house. Stephen is off every (non major holiday) Monday. I love it, we all sleep in, have breakfast in bed, (dunkin' donuts = yum!), and either bum around the house or get out and run errands. This Monday we decided would be Daddy/Daughter day. Stephen and Saylor hung out and I got to go craft with a friend for a few hours (yay for mommy time!!).

Stephen was responsible for bathing and dressing Saylor this morning. Good gracious I wish I had a pic of her "outfit" ! He had her in Redsox booties, a (WAY too big) onesie that said, "there's no crying in baseball, unless you're a Yankees fan," and sweatpants, ha! Before I could get a pic, we had a diaper-leakage problem, so there had to be a wardrobe change, darn :) But, it's cute that he tries!

After I got home, we did some tummy time. She's getting soo close to rolling over, we just need to keep working on it! Last Saturday she made it to her side, not too much longer!

Later, we tried out the bouncy seat while daddy played xbox, ha guess he needed some daddy time :)
