Saylor's first modeling gig...

Ha, sort of :) My VERY talented friend is selling these headbands, and needed a model. Too bad Saylor is acting like she's never seen a camera before!

Round two...

Well, we can now rule out soy formula! We tried it again yesterday, and poor little Saylor was projectile vomiting again! I'm not sure why her body rejects it so bad, when she was about a month old we used a can of it and she took it just fine, but now not so much! I don't know if the difference is we tried the liquid now or her stomach has changed, or what! Which is frustrating, because we need a formula that doesn't upset my sweet little baby's tummy, but I don't wa nt to keep playing trial and error! Last night I got so scared that we did the emergency room thing. Of course I was just overreacting, but she had thrown up 3 times, and couldn't keep anything down, and she felt so limp and weak, and was making this pitiful little noise, that my heart couldn't take much more, and I would rather be safe than sorry! Thankfully, in the several hours we spent there (!!!), she was able to finally take an ounce of pedialyte and keep that down!

I thought all was well, but poor thing woke up around 5 this morning, and I nursed her, but I guess she had too much because she threw up twice since then! She is now sleeping peacefully in her swing, so hopefully she got it all out of her system and will be better today. I hate seeing my little baby like this!

Oh, what a night!

Last night was what I'm sure will be the first of many times where I felt scared and helpless as a mommy! Saylor fell asleep on the way home last night, so we had her in her carseat while we were getting ready for bed and such last night.

When we were ready to get her out and put her to bed she kind of woke up and started spitting up a bit. She is not a regular spitter-upper, she does from time to time, but never as much as she did last night. I thought at first it was weird, but no big deal because she went right back to sleep in her daddy's arms. So we put her to bed and went to work on cleaning out our bonus room. Well, a little while later I went to check on Saylor and the poor thing was projectile vomiting, and had it everywhere! I scooped her up and got her cleaned up and bathed and called the doctor's office 'hotline' and spoke with a nurse. I'm pretty sure the problem was her tummy was too full! We tried a 6oz bottle last night with rice cereal and new formula. I know that I shouldn't have introduced 2 new things at once, but she had a cereal bottle Monday night and did fine, and she had this soy formula when she was an infant, but I guess her tummy has changed! We tried starting a bedtime bottle, since Saylor has been regressing on her sleep, but I would rather get up every 2 hours to nurse at night, than have anything like last night happen again! So, I have decided to go back to EBF for a while!! We'll try again with the rice cereal probably in a month or so, there is no rush! Now I'm just keeping an eye out for an ear infection, poor little thing! She just looked so confused last night, she didn't understand what was going on, but she was smiling away almost the whole time!

**btw, I realize that I made at least half a dozen typos and such in some of my recent posts (and who knows how many in this one!!) but sleep is really something that has not been easy to come by lately, so my brain is really fried. it's ridiculous. i'm going to retire from the grammar police :) so, please excuse my mistakes, i'm sure you know what i mean!**

4 month check up

This morning we went for Litte Miss Saylor's 4 month check-up. I have been dreading this, because after her 2 month check-up my happy little baby was replaced with a fussy, fussy little thing! But I am happy to report (so far!) that it went way better than expected! Saylor was too busy trying to put her feet in her mouth to really pay any attention to Dr. F while she was examining her.

Then when it was time for her shots (only 2 this time!) she didn't cry at all for the first one, and only scream for a second during the last one! She is just a snoozing away, I hope that when she wakes up all will still be ok.

This was after her shots, poor little sleepy baby!

Well, Saylor is still in the 95% for her height and weight! She weighs 16lbs, 7oz and is 26 inches long! She's a big little baby :) We are probably going to be starting rice cereal in the next week or so, we'll see how it goes.

Back to normal?

Whew, what a crazt week! Master's was fun, but man was I exhausted! I worked Monday-Friday nights at Champion's Retreat Golf Club serving tables to make some extra money this week and I worked my behind off! I was so glad when Saturday rolled around. I spent a few hours at the Masters on Saturday, it was so nice! The weather was perfect and of course the scenery was beautiful. We followed Phil and Tiger (I still like him as a golfer!) for a few holes, it was awesome to see Phil make his birdies, (btw, I have been around golf for like 7 years now, and I still know VERY little about the game!) I was really happy he ended up with the green jacket.

Well, while I was walking around the National, guess what my active little baby did?!

She rolled from her back to her tummy! She wouldn't do it for me and my mom on Saturday :( But Sunday, her daddy was playing with her while I was getting ready for church, and she did it a few times for him, but still not for me! But, finally after a long day of shopping, Saylor performed for me! And I got it on camera! And now she is a rolling machine, there's no letting her out of my sight!

Happy 4 Months! (yesterday!!)

*I sat down to do this post yesterday, but then quickly realized Stephen took my camera to work with him!* So...

Happy 4 Months (yesterday) Little Miss Saylor!

Saylor you have changed so much over the past week it is not even funny, you are growing up soo fast! Your little face is so expressive, I can really see your little personality starting to show. You can roll over from your tummy to your back, but you will not do it on demand :) You are so close to rolling from your back to your tummy, you just need to throw your chubby little leg over and you would be there! You have recently discovered your voice, and "talk" almost nonstop, in fact right now you are just chatting up your daddy. I am almost positive that you are teething, you are drooling like crazy and always chewing on something. You like to cover your face when you are tired, you pull up your dress or shirt, or use your lovey or even your hand and cover your eyes, it's so cute! Right now you are in between sizes, most 3 month clothes are way to snug, but you're not quite into 6 month clothing. You are barely in size 2 diapers, I just hope they fit you long enough to use all of the ones we have left, you are quite the chubber, but I love it!

We go for her 4 month check up on Monday, can't wait to find out her stats...I know she's at least 16 pounds!
Here is Saylor in her new toy, she hasn't quite figured it out yet, but she loves it so far! (please excuse her hair- she had recently woken up!)

One last thing, not only was yesterday Saylor's 4 month birthday, but it was also the day last year that I got my BFP! The day our lives started changing! I remember it like it was yesterday :)

Happy Easter!

He rose and conquered the grave, my Jesus conquered the grave!

What a beautiful day we had today! We got up bright and early(er!) to see what the Easter Bunny brought for Saylor, and to get ready for church. The Easter Bunny was pretty good to little miss Saylor :) She got teething toys, a book, a bathing suit, shoes, bowls, spoons, and a fun little bunny bib! (I think the Reester bunny was meant for her daddy, ha!)

Then we went over to my mom and dad's to get Saylor ready for church and take a few pics. This is all of her Easter attire.

She was not really feeling having her pic made, she was starting to get sleepy.

Love this sweet little face! Cuddling with Oliver the duck.

After church we went to my grandparent's house and had lunch with all our family, except my husband and AL (my sis), but we ate dinner with them later and played cards and watched the Red Sox v Yankees game.

We had a great day to today, loved Saylor's first Easter!

But now it's time to gear up for Master's week, it's gonna be crazy! But I love this time in Augusta (minus the crazy pollen storm...wouldn't might a rainshower or 2 to wash it away!)

Being positive

So I briefly touched on the hair situation I have, but I've decided to be positive and embrace it, because really it's just hair, and there's not much else I can do about it! But I will just think of it as my new mommy do, because I was able to shower, get dressed, put on makeup and jewerly!, and fix my hair- without having to use a blow dryer or straightner- in less than 30 minutes. Whoohoo! We just may be on time for church Sunday, ha :)

Real quick, I walked into Saylor's room this morning to check on her and this is what I found
This was not how I layed her down! She is quickly becoming quite the wiggle worm, and is really working hard on rolling over from her back to her tummy! (*don't worry, she was awake and playing! She doesn't sleep with stuffed animals and loose blankets!)

Have a blessed Good Friday! Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross to pay for our sins!

April? Already??

Man time flies when you're having fun :) This year is really going by so fast, I'm scared to blink! Next week Saylor will be 4 months old, I can't believe it

She has developed an interest in her toys now. And everything is going straight to her mouth :)

This week has been pretty mellow. I worked on Monday night, so Saylor got to spend some quality alone time with her dad. He said she was so sweet and funny, just "talking" all night. But boy was she a pill the next day, ha! Poor baby missed her daddy. I did take her with me to get a couple of haircuts this week (which I will not talk about. somethings, like hair cuts, you should not go the cheapest way :) hair grows back fast, right?!) But both times, all the ladies just oohed and ahhed over her, who wouldn't though!

btw, i totally made her bow. in like 2 min. while talking on the phone. i was so proud of myself :)

And now, we are just ready for Easter. I cannot wait to put her Easter dress on her and take pics! We are doing a little "photo shoot" Saturday, just so I can be sure to have pics of her in her beautiful little dress. She will not have an Easter bonnet though, her daddy is no fun sometimes, haha!
